A grand commencement ceremony was held for the Hangzhou Future Science and Technology City Project of Times China on the morning of July 3, 2019. Mr. Liang Hui, the general manager of Times China's Hangzhou Branch, attended along with guests from Times China's partners, and together they witnessed the commencement with the staff of the Hangzhou Branch.

The ceremony started at 10:00 a.m. amid the enthusiasm of an eager crowd. Mr. Liang Hui delivered a speech in which he said the commencement of the Hangzhou Future Science and Technology City Project symbolized an important step taken by Times China from in-depth development in the Pearl River Delta toward the establishment of a presence in key metropolitan circles throughout China. He expressed hope that everyone would persevere despite any difficulty and strive to build the project into a boutique offering in Yuhang District, Hangzhou, and all of the Yangtze River Delta. Only in this way can we live up to Hangzhou's reputation as an earthly paradise and meet the Group's earnest expectations.

Mr. Liang then led the employees of Hangzhou Branch and Shanghai Branch to worshipfully light incense and wish for a smooth, prosperous project. Subsequently, he and the leadership of Times China's partners heaped earth upon the foundation stone, marking the launch of the Hangzhou Future Science and Technology City Project of Times China.

The air was full of cheering and congratulations as guests and colleagues shared the roasted piglet and apples, received luck money and expressed their sincere wishes for the commencement of the project.

The Hangzhou Future Science and Technology City Project of Times China is located in western Hangzhou, adjacent to the Xixi wetland. It lies in the southern part of Future Science and Technology City, Yuhang District, and is the first land plot to be launched by this sector in the past two years.

Future Science and Technology City is not only the location of Alibaba headquarters but is also a gathering place for pioneering science-and-technology industries such as Dream Town and China (Hangzhou) Artificial Intelligence Town. It has quickly become China's most vibrant region, where more than 100,000 promising young talents from all over the country have gathered. Alibaba is now building its global headquarters in Future Science and Technology City, which eagerly promotes the development of "new retail, new manufacturing, new finance, new technology and new energy" in Yuhang District. Next to the project is Metro Line 3, which leads directly to the urban center. Xixi Happy City, a newly opened commercial complex on the project's northern edge, adds to the area's attractiveness as a community environment. Nearby learning centers include Hangzhou Yuhai Foreign Language School, Jincheng Foreign Language School and Hangzhou Chengxi Middle School, thus comprising a wealth of educational resources. With the expansion of Liangmu Road, the project is a five-minute drive from Alibaba headquarters, which will further enhance the regional value and ensure rich prospects for the development.
