Launch of tenant invitation of TIC

Accelerate to extend the northern extended section of the main axis to Cross Foshan Channel

"Intelligent manufacturing + digital, cultural and creative industries" to draw new blueprint for industry development

Foshan has, on the basis of manufacturing, developed competitive industry clusters with emphasis on home appliances, ceramic building materials and furniture. The process has evolved over the course of four decades, making it the first pilot city to implement China’s comprehensive reform of manufacturing transformation and upgrading. The digital transformation of the manufacturing industry is the only road to industrial upgrading and transformation but is also a driving force toward attainment of the city’s envisioned GDP of RMB 2 trillion.

It was through such circumstances that TIC came into being. The project is located at the northern extended section of the main axis of Qiandenghu Lake CBD on the boundary between Guangzhou and Foshan, just 20 kilometers away from Zhujiang New Town, Guangzhou. Adjacent to the two CBDs, TIC enjoys unique geographic advantages. The plan is to create an industry ecosystem based on intelligent manufacturing, digital, cultural and creative industries along with the smart home, where life technology, IT and AI develop in harmony. Additionally, the product, guided by the concept of Central Office District (COD), is expected to be sharing, open and interconnected. Upon completion, the project will attract more than 1,000 enterprises as well as 30,000 creative professionals in the world’s most progressive industries.

A leading model and advanced planning

Create a benchmark project on the main axis in Foshan

Industries will be developed so as to drive urban development as part of a model proposed during the initial planning of TIC. Given the tremendous investment involved, the project will have four areas: the Digital, Cultural and Creative Center; the Smart Home and Producer Service Center; the Life Technology Center; and the International Cultural Exchange Center.

Planning of the initiation zone of TIC

· The Digital, Cultural and Creative Center will focus on digital, cultural and creative industries such as e-sports, games and livestream e-commerce, striving to be an innovative industry demonstration area.

· The Smart Home and Producer Service Center, based on advanced materials, smart-home concepts and home design, will create a producer service platform related to intelligent manufacturing to promote the upgrading of locally advantageous industries.

· The Life Technology Center will center on R&D of cutting-edge technologies in drugs, medical treatment and diagnosis technologies and devices, the comprehensive health service industry and form the life technology industry cluster through the construction of a carrier and venture capital.

· For the International Cultural Exchange Center, a 3,000-square-meter landscaped square and popular landmarks will be constructed as public facilities so as to attract rich cultural activities such as conferences and exhibitions, forums, games and activities.

The project will develop a perfect and innovative system integrating industry, the city, humans and culture, inject vitality into the city through industry empowerment and accelerate expansion into the northern reaches of the main axis to cross the Foshan Channel.

With the digital, cultural and creative industry chain established, multiple Fortune Global 500 companies intend to build partnership

Construct a distinctive innovative industry cluster

TIC has taken the initiative to enter into strategic cooperation with Guangdong Ren Ren Sports Group. Both parties will adhere to the national strategy of "Digital China", give full play to their respective advantages and cooperate in the import of industry contents and the operation of the theme park. In the meantime, they will establish the Times GK Digital, Cultural and Creative Theme Park; create a comprehensive development system covering online and offline resources; explore new development models for digital, cultural and creative industries; and accelerate the development of those industries. Guangdong Ren Ren Sports Group, incorporated in 2016, is a group driven by an industry chain that is vertical with respect to IP-centered cultural production and e-sports. Strategic cooperation will introduce the e-sports industry chain and generate new venues for popular culture along the main axis of Qiandenghu Lake.

The South China IIoT (Nanhai) Integrated Innovation Center has also signed a contract to participate in the development process. It is an integrated innovation center in the producer service industry founded by Times China Holdings Limited (Times China) with an investment of RMB 200 million in November 2019 with support from the Dali Town Government. The center consists of four functional modules: talent cultivation, startup acceleration, digital transformation of SMEs and the creation of an ecosystem for digital innovation. The center will work with leading enterprises such as Siemens, SAP, NVIDIA, Samsung, GSK and Leinao to create an IIoT ecosystem that transforms TIC into a benchmark intelligent town, thereby serving the transformation and upgrading of enterprises in Dali Town as well as the greater Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Times China grows together with the city

New work and life scenarios in the main axis of Qiandenghu Lake

Times China, an urban-development service provider, constructs TIC by capturing the opportunities related to the development of the northern section of Qiandenghu Lake’s main axis and combining progressive design concepts with abundant resources in business operations.

Rendering of TIC

TIC will be a new community that integrates industry, the city, humanity, culture and work with residential life, leisure, shopping, entertainment and study. Thus, urban elites will experience new work and life scenarios here. Intensive planning for office space and functionality has been conducted, and consequently the needs of the industry chain -- from design and R&D to exhibition and trade -- will be satisfied. As a home to high-value innovative industries and high-caliber talent, TIC will offer complete support facilities. For instance, Starbucks and Michelin-starred restaurants downstairs will be perfect for business entertainment. After work, citizens will enjoy life in high-quality homes surrounded by convenient amenities and expanses of green space. Thus, Times China has redefined the phrase “urban-development service provider” so as to benefit the customer’s lifestyle while serving their work and career development in the city.
